I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2013. My background in community settings and psychedelic work has helped me to have a grounded perspective on transformative personal work. I have been interested in expanded states of consciousness since I was very young and this has led to a fascination with the creative aspects of perception itself, a perspective that has become central to my approach as a therapist.
I am also a musician and author. My philosophy has to do with self-taught creative practice as a means of exploring the unknown and is encapsulated in my book How To Play Guitar: The Collected Zines. I have a special interest in the role that music plays in psychedelic psychotherapy and have lectured and written extensively on this topic. I co-founded The Los Angeles Community Ketamine Clinic with Dr. Mark Shortt in 2024.
